Big Bang attracts 24,000 fans in L.A.

K-pop group Big Bang attracted 24,000 fans to their two concerts in Los Angeles’ Honda Center on Nov. 2 and 3, YG Entertainment said in a press release Monday.

The concerts were part of the group’s world tour, “Alive Galaxy Tour 2012.”

The five-member group has so far performed in Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia as part of its first world tour. All concerts have sold out and additional concerts were scheduled for Los Angeles and New Jersey, which were originally scheduled to have single day concerts.

“The local associates and staff of the tour were surprised to find out that the additional concert tickets were also sold out,” said YG Entertainment.

At the Los Angeles concerts, the group performed its 23 top hit songs, which include “Still Alive,” “Lie,” “Day by Day,” “Heaven” and “Fantastic Baby” as well as each member’s solo songs. Additionally, G-dragon, the group’s leader, performed his solo album’s title song “Crayon” in English.

Big Bang will hold its next concert at Prudential Center, New Jersey, from Nov. 8-9 then before traveling to Peru for another concert on Nov. 14.

Big Bang’s tour will continue through the end of year, with stops in Hong Kong, England and Japan.
