|Hycore’s dual compound motor system|
Hycore Co., founded by Hanyang University Holdings, has developed a new dual compound motor system that reduces the energy consumption of existing electric motors.
In the envisaged era of electric vehicles, electric motors and batteries would replace traditional engines in automobiles.
Existing electric motors that are widely used in electric cars and bikes consume excessive energy when used for long periods. It also takes a lot of financial investment in order to improve their performance.
Instead of one large motor, Hycore’s dual compound motor system offers two smaller motors that operate separately. That reduces development costs, while energy efficiency is heightened.
Unlike a traditional motor system that depends solely on energy conversion, the dual motor system is equipped with its own gearshift that divides sections for energy provision to maximize energy efficiency. With no transmission necessary, the new application allows smaller devices to run for a longer time, increase response speed and prevent overheating.
“We are pinning high hopes on the dual compound motor system that operates two smaller motors. It would be a more cost- and energy-efficient alternative to traditional electric motors that are used for electric cars, scooters, bikes, airplanes, generation and robots,” said Hycore CEO Harold Park.
