A pop-up store showcasing creations by leading Korean fashion designers will open at the multibrand store L’Eclaireur from June 22-28 in Paris.

The temporary shop-in-shop will feature women’s and men’s clothing by 10 Korean designers who regularly participate in Seoul Fashion Week and have been selected as “Seoul’s 10 Soul” to represent the Korean fashion scene. The program, run by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, offers financial, marketing and logistical support for the selected designers in promoting their brands overseas.

The participating designers include Gang Dong-jun of D.GNAK, Hang Sang-hyeok of HEICH ES HEICH, Lee Ju-young of Resurrection, Lee Suk-tae of KAAL. E. SUKTAE, Kim Moo-hong of MOOHONG, Jeong Mi-seon of Nohke, Choi Moo-yeol of VLADES, and Shi Gyu-yong of BLINDNESS. There are also two young designers -- Han Hyun-min of Munn and Kim Young-gyun of TIIKI -- who debuted at the Generation Next Seoul collection a couple years ago.

“This is an opportunity for designers to sell their clothes directly to foreign customers and buyers,” said Jung Ku-ho, director of Seoul Fashion Week, in a press statement.

“This will not be a one-time event, but will continue in other fashion hubs in Italy and Britain to promote and market ‘10 Soul’ designers in foreign markets,” he added.

More pop-up stores will open in Milan during Milan Fashion Week in September.
